The largest group of people who pay the price of happy path design are people with disabilities. 11% of people have disabilities that interfere with their use of tech. If “turn on audio” is happy path and closed captioning is edge, you just left out everyone with hearing loss, for example. This group is far too big to ignore and in some cases you can end up in some serious legal doo-doo because of your need for speed leaving people with disabilities in the dust.
