Because I agree with your statement that names in Design Documentation and Code should align, my recommendation would be to follow the accessible naming guidelines in WCAG 2.5.3: Label in Name

And the CCPA has just declared WCAG 2.1 as the standard to be met for privacy statements, so compliance is mandatory for some organization
